Best Pasta I ever had
Esca’s Lobster Spaghettini
Esca is a restaurant in the Theater District of New York City. It is one of my favorite restaurants in Manhattan. The lobster spaghettini is the best plate of pasta I’ve ever had. This dish has succulent lobster with mint, chiles, garlic and perfectly al dente pasta. They finish the dish with a drizzle of olive oil just to give it a great mouth feel. If your in New York or planning a visit, eat at Esca. It is so good that it could be my death row last meal. This dinner with a glass of red wine is a perfect way to say goodbye. I’d say, “take me, I’m ready.”
Best Hot Chocolate I ever had
Cacao Mexicatessen
Cacao Mexicatessen is a Mexican Restaurant in Eagle Rock, California. It’s definitely a local favorite that has won over the hearts of Angelenos and hipsters alike. One of my favorite drinks is the Mexican Hot Chocolate. I had this on a rainy day sitting next to the window. It was perfect! Gritty hot chocolate with a chocolate laden foam and toasted almonds. If I tried to relive this moment I know it wouldn’t be the same.
Duck Confit Taco
Cacao’s Duck Confit Taco is a thing of beauty. Homemade corn tortilla with rich crispy duck, pickled acidic onions, spicy radish, and creamy avocado finish. It’s what all tacos want to be when they grow up. Perfection!
